One girl mentioned how she hates the modern use of lol, omg, etc. I agree with her. I do not like when people use these things. I think that it is hurting students grammer to use this type of language, because it is becoming something different than English. - Do you agree that having instant access to everything via the internet helps you to know yourself better? Why or why not?
No I do not. I think that there are things on the internet that can help one to know himself better, and some things like twitter where one can update everyone about his life at any time he wishes, but that does not help to know himself better. - Do you agree that technology helps pave the way to move forward as a civilization? Why or why not?
Yes. I think to some extent it does. At other times I can see it hindering our civilization by causing people to be lazy and addicted to the internet. Some ways in which technology could help our civilization is by connecting different parts of the country and world.

ReplyDeleteHey, I would have to agree with your point of not using omg and lol because I feel like it takes away from the language that we have today. If it continues I think that converstations will consist of these abbreviations. Therefore, our writting will comphrehension will go down.
ReplyDeleteWe pretty much have the same blog. :) I really like how you described technology hindering our civilization. Sometimes I just do not know what to think of technology. I see so many positives with it, but then again, I see so many negatives with it.
